Secretly married? Rachel Weisz and James Bond star Daniel Craig, seen here arriving in New York in March, are said to have secretly got married in the city last week
Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have tied the knot, his publicist has confirmed.
Robin Baun of Slate PR, which represents Craig, said the pair had got married, but did not offer any more details.
Reports said James Bond star Craig, 43, and The Mummy actress Weisz, 41, got married in a secret ceremony attended by just four people in New York State last Wednesday.
The guests were said to be Daniel's 18-year-old daughter Ella and Rachel's son Henry, four, plus two family friends who acted as witnesses.
The News Of The World reports a source as saying: 'Daniel and Rachel insisted on having a small, quiet wedding. They are madly in love and couldn't wait to be husband and wife - but they wanted minimum fuss.'
Old mates: The pair, pictured here in New York at a film screening in 2004, have been friends for years
The pair were last seen together in London in March, when Daniel was seen taking his leading lady on a shopping spree at the Louis Vuitton store in Mayfair.
However, they have worked hard to keep their relationship out of the limelight since meeting on the set of forthcoming movie The Dream House, in which they play husband and wife.
Although they have been friends for several years, they were first linked in November but at the time strenuously denied they were together.
Before they got together, Rachel had a relationship with Black Swan director Darren Aronovsky for nine years and Daniel was engaged to longterm girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell for five years.
However, it became clear that Daniel and Rachel were definitely an item when they were then seen hand-in-hand as they celebrated Christmas in Somerset.
Former loves: Rachel was with Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky for nine years and have a son Henry, now four, while Craig was with film producer Satsuki Mitchell for six years
A horror movie, The Dream House opens in cinemas this September.
Craig rose to international stardom in 2006 when he became the sixth actor to play Bond in the movie franchise.
He will take on the role of the suave secret agent for the third time in the 23rd movie, which will be released in October next year.
Weisz has appeared in movies including The Mummy and About A Boy.
Her role in 2005 film The Constant Gardener earned her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Daniel meanwhile gearing up for the release of the Hollywood remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
The movie, also starring Rooney Mara and directed by David Fincher, opens in the UK on Boxing Day.
He also returns as legendary spy Bond in the much-delayed 23rd movie in the franchise, suspended due to the financial problems being suffered by makes MGM.
Directed by Sam Mendes, the film is due for release in November next year.
