Change of heart? Reports today have suggested that Cheryl Cole wants to start over again with ex-husband Ashley and start a family with him
Cheryl Cole has revealed that she is still in love with ex-husband Ashley and wants to start a family with him.
According to reports today, the singer has told friends that she can see her future with the Chelsea star and wants him to father her children.
But despite cheating on Cheryl, 27, five times, the footballer, 30, has reportedly told friends that he blames her for the split and it's up to her to make changes in her life so their relationship works second time around.
Last week it was reported that she had spent the night at the couple's former £5million marital home in Surrey.
And speaking to the News of the World, a source close to the Girls Aloud star, who turns 28 on Thursday, said that she told friends: 'It was if we'd wound the clock back twp years. I felt happy for the first time in a long time.'
Reunited: The couple are believed to have spent a night together recently at the mansion they shared as a married couple
The friend added: 'She doesn't want to wait until she's over 30 to start a family.
And she thinks Ashley's the most natural person to be dad to her babies.'
A friend of the England star said: 'She wants to follow her heart and do what will make her happy. But she has to sort her life out first.
What will Cheryl say? Ashley was photographed cuddling up to a blonde woman during a night out in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening
'He was blamed for the end of the marriage and that's fair enough. But Cheryl has to take some responsibility. Her career always came first. But if Cheryl takes him back she'll put everything into the relationship. Her career is far less important to her than starting a family.'
But her friends and family are said to be horrified at the possibility of a reunion between her and Ashley and are worried that history will repeat itself, especially after pictures emerged of him cosying up to a blonde in a nightclub in Los Angeles last week.
Split: Cheryl Cole is no longer managed by US superstar will.i.am
Meanwhile, it appears that it's all change again for Cheryl, who has been reunited with her long-term manager Hilary Shaw.
She split from Hilary in April and turned to Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am to help her crack the United States.
All is forgiven? Hilary Shaw has agreed to become Cheryl Cole's manager again
But her American dream now over, the pop star has gone back to Hilary, and plans to focus on her UK career once more.
'Cheryl hasn't committed to any television work. Instead, she is going back to Newcastle where she plans to do some mentoring with young people for her charitable foundation,' says a friend.
'She and Hilary are working on slowly bringing her back into the public eye.'
