Proud Mick Jagger supports designer fiancee L'Wren Scott as she delivers dazzling finale to New York Fashion Week

It helps to have a celebrity fan when you are trying to make your name as a fashion designer. And L'Wren Scott certainly had plenty of support from fiance Mick Jagger at her New York Fashion Week show today.
The Rolling Stones frontman couldn't have looked more thrilled as he posed with his wife-to-be after the event at the city's Desmond Tutu Center.
He had every reason to feel proud. The statuesque model-turned-stylist-turned-designer, 44, who wore a long, blue crushed velvet coat, delivered a collection that promises to be another hit with her A-list fans.
Slinky silk tea dresses in jewel-like emerald and delicate floral prints looked effortlessly feminine with their trailing ribbon ties, while high-waisted pencil skirts came in eye-popping primary brights.
Ms Scott added some theatrical flair with capes and dramatic fur collars - sure to appeal to attention-seeking stars.
Eveningwear was more muted. Predominantly black, one came with a scattering of sequins, while another offset a Mandarin collar with a sexy thigh-high split.
It is such classic, unfussy cuts that make Ms Scott a more of a favourite with curvier bombshell types, such as Christina Hendricks (she was spotted in L'Wren at the Baftas), than stars with a more model-like figure.
At the last Academy Awards the designer's creations were seen on new mothers Penelope Cruz and Amy Adams, both of whom looked sensational.

And who could forget the pink dress chosen by Oprah Winfrey for her final show - a design by L'Wren again.
